How interesting. As a boater, we are always on the lookout for you divers!! Wondered what kinds of treasures you were finding under there.. what was the most interesting item that you have found?
“”"”"Melljohn: I have a boat in allatoona and im also going to the new allatoona highschool, but anyway, my dad dropped his phone in there and we couldnt fish it out because we were going pretty fast on our boat and by the time we got there it would have been pretty deep, i bet theres a lot of valuables in both thinking from what has been dropped in there, i know there is some in alatoona becuase it once was a town, i think laneer was too.”"”"
Was this a long dive? You started in the light and came up in the dark! I did my master certification in Lanier (an altitude dive), in
the dark. It was amazing to see the silk laden trees and quite a challenge to navigate. It gave
me a real appreciation for what rescue/recovery divers have to go through, and
they usually have zero visibility. Great video! Thanks!
Very cool. Having lived in GA all my life, I’ve heard many stories about what’s at the bottom of that lake. My great grandpa had a house there that was flooded when the lake was filled.
That old Briggs & Stratton on that mower would probably still run with a little work. lol!

very interesting! I bet a lawn mower isn’t the most exciting thing at the bottom of our lake. No telling what we will find; cars, bikes, cell phones, bones, weapons and most of all the mansion over near the buford damn. You should go there and see it. I heard it was truly amazing!
Truly amazing video!! Thanks for posting. I grew up around this lake as a kid. How funny you should choose The Church for the soundtrack. I crossed this lake many times with Starfish playing. Cheers!

My old girlfriend had a soft muddy bottom too, but I digress.

I’ve gone under that bridge hundreds of times and I’ve always wondered what the bottom looks like. Good video; I’d love to see some more of Lanier.
