Ghost Hunting?
July 18th, 2009 | by admin |I would like information on how one goes about ‘hunting’ for a ghost? Do Cameras, Thermal Imagery, Low-light cameras, tape recorders, EM sensors, etc really work in the field?
If not, what equipment would you suggest?
Also, how would you go about collecting information on a ’site’ in a scientific way in order to weed out the BS from other unexplained occurrences?
Thanks for the answers everyone, but I’m looking for more details then that. =) All the ghost hunting sites I’ve been too seem to be just a bunch of people telling ghost stories around a camp fire. I want to dig deeper then that. more Science, and less ‘Ghost Story’ you know?

You know? I do watch that show. However, it’s just not as ‘interesting’ to me as ‘most haunted’ on the travel channel. TAPS comes across to me more like a ’soap opera’ then a ghost hunting show. Though it does seem more realistic. Just to much drama with TAPS.. LOL

if you do use that stuff, make sure you have some really good evidence that the skeptics can’t disprove.

You should watch the show ghosthunters on The Sci fi Channel. It’s about a group called TAPS in Rhode Island who investigate in the Northeast Their main purpose is to prove or disprove a haunting with *evidence* using the techniques you mentioned. You should check it out. Also, there are numerous ghost hunting groups, I am near Philly (TAPS has done a few shows in the area, and got some cool stuff at the now closed Eastern State Penitentary) and I know of one group that has weekends and overnight sessions where they teach your to use all the equipment
I am sorry I don’t have personal experience to teach you but those are some ideas for who might be able to help. Give us an update!
