My friend is seeing weird shadow-like people who are not really there. What could it be?

When we hang out, he says that out of the corner of his eyes, he sees weird shadow-like figures that resemble people, who are just standing around. What could this be?

My nephew saw those too. He is bi-polar and that is sometimes a symptom of being bi-polar. He chooses not to take any medications for his bi-polar disorder, and these do not bother him unless he is under a lot of stress. It surprised me when he told me about them, coz he thought everyone saw them, and I had never seen anything abnormal about him until he mentionned them one time.
Encourage your friend to be checked for bi-polar disorder, especially if there are other symptoms.
I wish him luck. You are a good friend!
OMG I just read his other symptoms! Please get him to see a doctor. Something else is happening with him besides bi-polar disorder.
