   They don’t need a job, they have a sugar-daddy. These guys are treated like a god by these women, and they are eating it up. The guys like the power it gives them, and the macho way it makes them feel.

   They see someone who isn’t trying to control every part of their lives! And the attractiveness doesn’t hurt either.
   Also having someone around that doesn’t yack all the time can be very refreshing!

   guys like to have a sense of security when it comes to women. foreign brides who cant speak english fit that bill 100%. they cook, they clean, they have old fashioned family values, they take orders no questions asked and the guy knows that she most likely wont leave him because she doesnt have a job or anywhere else that she can go.
   its all a load of stereotypical nonsense but heey it works quite often.

   They envision in their minds a way of being “king” of their castle. To be waited on hand and foot, to get a pretty girl that will have to depend upon him. It comes off as a control issue to most, but in the reality of it, it’s an insecurity issue with the men. They are afraid of American women. American women speak their minds and tell it like it is, that’s not so much the case of a foreign bride who wants citizenship.

   I agree with the first poster but I’m going to add isolation and abuse. The man figures that the woman doesn’t know enough English to call 911, obtain protective order, etc. Even if she did, the man wouldn’t take her or the authorities seriously.

   I’ll give you an example – 40+ year old man marries 18 year old girl from Latvia. Things go from bad to worst and Latvian girl freaks out and calls 911 accusing her husband of locking her away without food and torturing her. Police arrest man on a litany of charges and the man is released on $100,000 bail. Latvian girl goes to in-laws and is arrested for tresspassing. Latvian girl recants entire story and charges are dismissed against the man.

   I wouldn’t want to be in that household right now especially after the man lost the US Senate Primary.

    they dont care what they speak they only want them for one thing.and it aint talking.and also these women will have to depend on these men for everything and these certain men like control!!and its easier for them to get women like this desperate women needing pass ports than regular women who dont and have self-asteem

    I’m not sure but my step grandpa met a philipino girl on the internet, flew to the philipines and married her. Now they have a baby,and she doesnt want to come to america, and now hes stuck there-but he loves her and the country so i guess hes happy? I think its because they can get away with marrying really young girls. His wife is like 31 and hes 55:(

    You will notice that most men who marry foreing brides are old men, their brides are young and sweet and mostly come from poor countries, so it is so obvious that they have marreid fr all the wrong reasons and conveanience so dotn even bother bothering.

    I have been reading all of the answers to this question and it is very obvious that there are lot of ignorant misinformed people out there, who have been watching entirely to much television.
    As the husband of an asian lady i can tell you this for a fact.
    Most if not all foriegn women understand a hell of a lot more english than you realize. They may not speak perfect english and they may have some pronunceation problems but you can bet they understand and can speak english well enough to communicate. I want you all to know, My wife, just like most other foriegn wives is deffinately not subservent or submissive, she has a mind of her own and our marriage isnt based on our sexual relationship. I do not, and most husbands of these ladies, do not try to control her/them. I do not dominere over my wife, she has an opinion of her own and she has no problem speaking her mind. And another thing, most of these women are very hard working people, some of the best workers around. in less than a year my wife advanced to be one of the highest paid workers within her company. I married my wife because we were in love, the same reason most other husbands married there foriegn wives, not because there wives were young sexy girls and not because there wives were just trying to get to america, which is the craziest myth going around because most of these ladies do not want to leave there home country but do so only because of there husbands. It realy piss’s me off when people spout off at the mouth about things they know nothing about. Just because they see a man with a women from another country and she is a loving and attentive wife, they automaticly assume that she married for money or a green card and that her husband married her so he can domineer over her and force her to bee and do as he please’s,,,,,,,,,,, BULL SHIT you are all a bunch of ignorant idiots
    If american women were as family oriented as these foriegn brides maybe they could catch and keep a good man. If american women could see what was inside a mans heart instead of what he looks like on the outside or how much money and material things he can give her, maybe she could find and keep a good man. If an american women loved a man for who he was and not for what he has maybe she could catch and keep a good man etc. etc.
