Correctly Niva means big field with harvest of wheat. This car developed for country use in second half of 70-th. Funny but Niva became cultic car for off road driving in 90-th. It’s simple work horse.

You can to see it better from South America.I don’t know…Niva was a car of our youth. We have another cars now. But Niva seems like a nostalgia from great times. Actually Niva ( female name) was a guy by it’s character. Greeting from Russia!

Decía Joe Strummer (de los míticos The Clash) que adoraba el Lada NIVA por ser el coche más “funky”. En él “nada sobra”. Quiso comprarme el mío y no se lo vendí. Por algo sería.
